Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 1.40%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Nexi SpA (BIT:NEXII), which rose 4.12% or 0.22 points to trade at 5.46 at the close. Meanwhile, Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:CPRI) added 2.29% or 0.13 points to end at 5.98 and Recordati (BIT:RECI) was up 1.31% or 0.70 points to 54.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were STMicroelectronics (BIT:STMMI), which fell 3.74% or 0.88 points to trade at 22.65 at the close. A2A SpA (BIT:A2) declined 3.20% or 0.07 points to end at 2.23 and Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM) was down 2.99% or 0.35 points to 11.27.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 303 to 237 and 47 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.66% or 1.11 to $68.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.62% or 1.15 to hit $71.93 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.19% or 5.69 to trade at $3,046.89 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.50% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.36% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 103.51.
