Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Technology and Chemicals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 1.12%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Tenaris SA (BIT:TENR), which rose 2.83% or 0.40 points to trade at 14.54 at the close. Meanwhile, Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF) added 1.70% or 0.34 points to end at 20.36 and Eni SpA (BIT:ENI) was up 1.52% or 0.21 points to 13.89 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bper Banca SpA (BIT:EMII), which fell 4.65% or 0.24 points to trade at 4.82 at the close. Banco Bpm SpA (BIT:BAMI) declined 4.39% or 0.27 points to end at 5.79 and Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (BIT:BMPS) was down 3.53% or 0.18 points to 5.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 316 to 198 and 44 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 4.15% or 2.83 to $71.00 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 3.84% or 2.75 to hit $74.45 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.01% or 26.80 to trade at $2,686.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.62% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 100.99.
