Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 1.02%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were DiaSorin SpA (BIT:DIAS), which rose 4.65% or 4.48 points to trade at 100.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:CPRI) added 3.26% or 0.20 points to end at 6.40 and Snam SpA (BIT:SRG) was up 2.95% or 0.13 points to 4.63 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Buzzi Unicem (BIT:BZU), which fell 6.14% or 3.16 points to trade at 48.34 at the close. Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (BIT:BMPS) declined 4.52% or 0.33 points to end at 6.89 and FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (BIT:FBK) was down 4.37% or 0.83 points to 18.26.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 322 to 221 and 54 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 1.06% or 0.71 to $66.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.11% or 0.78 to hit $69.58 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.46% or 13.49 to trade at $2,900.61 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.01% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.26% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 103.88.
