Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology, Financials and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.84%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Freni Brembo SpA (MI:BRBI), which rose 0.70% or 0.09 points to trade at 13.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Leonardo SpA (MI:LDOF) added 0.48% or 0.070 points to end at 14.570 and Recordati (MI:RECI) was up 0.45% or 0.16 points to 35.64 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Buzzi Unicem (MI:BZU), which fell 3.28% or 0.69 points to trade at 20.35 at the close. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA) declined 2.11% or 0.215 points to end at 9.985 and Banca Generali (MI:BGN) was down 1.93% or 0.59 points to 29.91.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 240 to 114 and 18 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.41% or 0.20 to $49.37 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.63% or 0.33 to hit $52.47 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.20% or 15.19 to trade at $1277.79 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.09% to 1.1742, while EUR/GBP fell 0.10% to 0.9038.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 93.52.
