Stock market today: S&P 500 slips as Trump’s tariff salvo sours sentiment
Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Industrials and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.59%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Eni SpA (BIT:ENI), which rose 1.52% or 0.21 points to trade at 13.86 at the close. Meanwhile, Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI) added 1.18% or 0.03 points to end at 2.40 and Hera (BIT:HRA) was up 1.07% or 0.05 points to 4.34 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Brunello Cucinelli (BIT:BCU), which fell 2.96% or 3.05 points to trade at 100.10 at the close. Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM) declined 2.74% or 0.25 points to end at 8.78 and Ferrari NV (BIT:RACE) was down 2.73% or 11.60 points to 413.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 378 to 155 and 51 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.01% or 0.01 to $68.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.30% or 0.21 to hit $69.56 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.93% or 64.61 to trade at $3,408.31 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.75% to 1.16, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.50% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.65% at 97.96.
