Stock market today: S&P 500 in weekly loss as trade war fears intensifyy
Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology, Travel & Leisure and Chemicals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.41%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Tenaris SA (BIT:TENR), which rose 4.98% or 0.74 points to trade at 15.51 at the close. Meanwhile, Italgas SpA (BIT:IG) added 2.87% or 0.19 points to end at 6.99 and Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI) was up 2.29% or 0.05 points to 2.23 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM), which fell 4.96% or 0.44 points to trade at 8.52 at the close. Iveco Group NV (BIT:IVG) declined 3.90% or 0.69 points to end at 16.86 and Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:CPRI) was down 2.58% or 0.15 points to 5.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 316 to 225 and 37 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 3.31% or 2.01 to $62.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 3.23% or 2.03 to hit $64.81 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 2.59% or 85.77 to trade at $3,401.17 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.66% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.53% at 98.74.
