Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Financials and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Italgas SpA (MI:IG), which rose 2.09% or 0.09 points to trade at 4.19 at the close. Meanwhile, Atlantia (MI:ATL) added 1.66% or 0.40 points to end at 24.53 and Recordati (MI:RECI) was up 1.47% or 0.48 points to 33.07 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI), which fell 4.35% or 0.116 points to trade at 2.550 at the close. STMicroelectronics (MI:STM) declined 3.64% or 0.530 points to end at 14.050 and UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI) was down 3.02% or 0.4200 points to 13.5100.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 234 to 119 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Italgas SpA (MI:IG) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.09% or 0.09 to 4.19. Shares in Atlantia (MI:ATL) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 1.66% or 0.40 to 24.53. Shares in Recordati (MI:RECI) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.47% or 0.48 to 33.07.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.36% or 0.19 to $53.27 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.05% or 0.03 to hit $56.01 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.41% or 17.65 to trade at $1271.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.13% to 1.0611, while EUR/GBP fell 0.40% to 0.8503.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 100.63.
