Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials, Chemicals and Travel & Leisure sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 1.11%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI), which rose 5.35% or 0.510 points to trade at 10.040 at the close. Meanwhile, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA) added 3.90% or 0.365 points to end at 9.720 and Buzzi Unicem (MI:BZU) was up 3.53% or 0.79 points to 23.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ferrari NV (MI:RACE), which fell 1.97% or 1.50 points to trade at 74.50 at the close. Saipem (MI:SPMI) declined 0.61% or 0.0024 points to end at 0.3906 and Mediaset (MI:MS) was down 0.44% or 0.016 points to 3.628.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 275 to 78 and 12 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 2.19% or 1.08 to $50.43 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 2.19% or 1.15 to hit $53.66 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.11% or 1.42 to trade at $1251.38 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.77% to 1.1189, while EUR/GBP rose 0.10% to 0.8594.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.61% at 97.17.
