Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Financials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.61%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Poste Italiane SpA (MI:PST), which rose 3.40% or 0.205 points to trade at 6.240 at the close. Meanwhile, Leonardo SpA (MI:LDOF) added 3.40% or 0.510 points to end at 15.510 and Generali (MI:GASI) was up 2.40% or 0.36 points to 15.33 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Buzzi Unicem (MI:BZU), which fell 1.45% or 0.32 points to trade at 21.78 at the close. Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) declined 1.35% or 0.0460 points to end at 3.3740 and Enel (MI:ENEI) was down 1.28% or 0.062 points to 4.798.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 208 to 149 and 15 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 3.32% or 1.54 to $47.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 3.07% or 1.49 to hit $50.09 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.33% or 4.08 to trade at $1250.22 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.09% to 1.1654, while EUR/GBP rose 0.03% to 0.8940.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 93.84.
