Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Chemicals, Travel & Leisure and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.52%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI), which rose 913.23% or 3.5890 points to trade at 3.9820 at the close. Meanwhile, Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) added 3.09% or 0.79 points to end at 26.34 and Banca Mediolanum SpA (MI:BMED) was up 2.10% or 0.155 points to 7.550 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Azimut Holding (MI:AZMT), which fell 4.32% or 0.83 points to trade at 18.38 at the close. UnipolSai Assicurazioni SpA (MI:US) declined 4.26% or 0.092 points to end at 2.066 and Snam (MI:SRG) was down 4.24% or 0.184 points to 4.154.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 191 to 167 and 11 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.83% or 0.42 to $51.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.56% or 0.30 to hit $53.91 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.47% or 5.91 to trade at $1259.51 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.21% to 1.1232, while EUR/GBP rose 0.44% to 0.8634.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 96.88.
