Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Travel & Leisure and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Exor NV (MI:EXOR), which rose 2.40% or 1.03 points to trade at 43.96 at the close. Meanwhile, CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI) added 2.23% or 0.185 points to end at 8.470 and Prysmian (MI:PRY) was up 2.21% or 0.53 points to 24.48 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saipem (MI:SPMI), which fell 4.24% or 0.0225 points to trade at 0.5080 at the close. Snam (MI:SRG) declined 1.45% or 0.056 points to end at 3.806 and UBI Banca (MI:UBI) was down 1.34% or 0.0380 points to 2.8000.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 169 to 163 and 24 ended unchanged.
Shares in Exor NV (MI:EXOR) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.40% or 1.03 to 43.96.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.98% or 0.51 to $51.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 1.27% or 0.70 to hit $54.24 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.24% or 2.85 to trade at $1187.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.03% to 1.0572, while EUR/GBP fell 0.08% to 0.8689.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.03% at 101.89.
