Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Industrials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were STMicroelectronics (MI:STM), which rose 2.52% or 0.360 points to trade at 14.670 at the close. Meanwhile, CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI) added 2.22% or 0.205 points to end at 9.455 and A2A (MI:A2) was up 1.62% or 0.022 points to 1.377 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saipem (MI:SPMI), which fell 1.96% or 0.0084 points to trade at 0.4191 at the close. Mediaset (MI:MS) declined 1.82% or 0.068 points to end at 3.678 and UBI Banca (MI:UBI) was down 1.31% or 0.0460 points to 3.4540.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 193 to 156 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 2.22% or 0.205 to 9.455.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.03% or 0.53 to $52.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.71% or 0.39 to hit $55.28 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.08% or 13.55 to trade at $1266.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.33% to 1.0609, while EUR/GBP rose 0.23% to 0.8558.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 100.87.
