Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Technology and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 1.89%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Buzzi Unicem (BIT:BZU), which rose 16.30% or 6.90 points to trade at 49.24 at the close. Meanwhile, UniCredit SpA (BIT:CRDI) added 7.42% or 3.69 points to end at 53.45 and Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:CPRI) was up 7.01% or 0.41 points to 6.26 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Snam SpA (BIT:SRG), which fell 4.45% or 0.21 points to trade at 4.48 at the close. Terna Rete Elettrica Nazionale SpA (BIT:TRN) declined 4.30% or 0.35 points to end at 7.74 and Hera (BIT:HRA) was down 4.08% or 0.15 points to 3.57.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 309 to 242 and 49 ended unchanged.
Shares in Buzzi Unicem (BIT:BZU) rose to all time highs; up 16.30% or 6.90 to 49.24. Shares in UniCredit SpA (BIT:CRDI) rose to 5-year highs; up 7.42% or 3.69 to 53.45.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 4.09% or 2.79 to $65.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 3.49% or 2.48 to hit $68.56 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.37% or 10.81 to trade at $2,931.41 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 1.43% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP rose 0.84% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.21% at 104.41.
