Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Telecoms and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 1.08%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Mediobanca Banca di Credito Finanziario SpA (BIT:MDBI), which rose 5.27% or 0.92 points to trade at 18.37 at the close. Meanwhile, Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (BIT:BMPS) added 3.77% or 0.28 points to end at 7.63 and Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF) was up 3.08% or 1.35 points to 45.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Prysmian SpA (BIT:PRY), which fell 1.19% or 0.57 points to trade at 47.48 at the close. Moncler SpA (BIT:MONC) declined 1.14% or 0.62 points to end at 53.98 and Interpump Group (BIT:ITPG) was down 0.92% or 0.28 points to 30.02.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 310 to 214 and 45 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for June delivery was down 2.26% or 1.40 to $60.65 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 2.13% or 1.38 to hit $63.41 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.72% or 23.99 to trade at $3,323.71 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.15% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 98.89.
