Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Travel & Leisure, Telecoms and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.99%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Ferrari NV (BIT:RACE), which rose 3.79% or 14.80 points to trade at 405.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT) added 3.44% or 0.01 points to end at 0.23 and Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF) was up 3.16% or 0.69 points to 22.52 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tenaris SA (BIT:TENR), which fell 0.51% or 0.07 points to trade at 12.70 at the close. DiaSorin SpA (BIT:DIAS) declined 0.38% or 0.38 points to end at 99.44 and Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (BIT:BMPS) was down 0.31% or 0.02 points to 5.13.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 284 to 162 and 49 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.89% or 0.70 to $77.65 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.38% or 0.31 to hit $80.38 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.00% or 25.10 to trade at $2,482.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.24% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.35% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 102.32.
