Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Healthcare and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.98% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Moncler SpA (BIT:MONC), which rose 10.91% or 5.68 points to trade at 57.74 at the close. Meanwhile, STMicroelectronics (BIT:STMMI) added 5.96% or 1.54 points to end at 27.47 and Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM) was up 3.99% or 0.56 points to 14.55 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Prysmian SpA (BIT:PRY), which fell 2.55% or 1.70 points to trade at 64.84 at the close. Ferrari NV (BIT:RACE) declined 0.86% or 3.70 points to end at 424.80 and Banca Popolare di Sondrio ScpA (BIT:BPSI) was down 0.85% or 0.06 points to 7.01.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 343 to 184 and 40 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.90% or 0.61 to $68.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.70% or 0.50 to hit $71.59 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.91% or 24.60 to trade at $2,670.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.15% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 100.19.
