Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Chemicals, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.55%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:CPRI), which rose 6.26% or 0.34 points to trade at 5.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Poste Italiane SpA (BIT:PST) added 2.64% or 0.38 points to end at 14.94 and Moncler SpA (BIT:MONC) was up 2.26% or 1.50 points to 67.86 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Recordati (BIT:RECI), which fell 1.37% or 0.75 points to trade at 54.10 at the close. Buzzi Unicem (BIT:BZU) declined 1.10% or 0.48 points to end at 43.34 and Eni SpA (BIT:ENI) was down 0.67% or 0.09 points to 13.96.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 330 to 208 and 57 ended unchanged.
Shares in Poste Italiane SpA (BIT:PST) rose to all time highs; up 2.64% or 0.38 to 14.94.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 2.08% or 1.51 to $70.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 1.96% or 1.50 to hit $74.98 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.18% or 5.30 to trade at $2,950.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.41% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.23% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 106.57.
