Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Biomed, Banking and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.68%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT), which rose 1.65% or 690 points to trade at 42600 at the close. Meanwhile, Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) added 1.57% or 1050 points to end at 68040 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) was up 1.54% or 24 points to 1584 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Delek Group (TA:DLEKG), which fell 2.96% or 2590 points to trade at 84950 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) declined 2.80% or 80 points to end at 2780 and Melisron (TA:MLSR) was down 2.49% or 520 points to 20360.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 247 to 165 and 35 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.88% or 0.45 to $51.60 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.77% or 0.42 to hit $54.78 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.47% or 5.85 to trade at $1254.35 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.07% to 3.6444, while EUR/ILS fell 0.13% to 3.8838.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 100.51.
