Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Communication, Oil & Gas and Biomed sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which rose 3.96% or 2650 points to trade at 69550 at the close. Meanwhile, Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL) added 3.03% or 4.7 points to end at 159.8 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) was up 1.96% or 29 points to 1509 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which fell 3.70% or 85 points to trade at 2215 at the close. Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) declined 2.65% or 560 points to end at 20540 and Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) was down 1.48% or 1250 points to 83360.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 257 to 153 and 91 ended unchanged.
Shares in Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 3.03% or 4.7 to 159.8.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.42% or 0.20 to $47.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.55% or 0.27 to hit $49.20 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.09% or 13.97 to trade at $1296.67 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.05% to 3.5432, while EUR/ILS rose 0.16% to 3.9918.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 96.59.
