Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Banking, Communication and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.04%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Frutarom (TA:FRUT), which rose 4.99% or 1130 points to trade at 23760 at the close. Meanwhile, Harel (TA:HARL) added 2.74% or 56 points to end at 2097 and Perrigo (TA:PRGO) was up 2.04% or 520 points to 26050 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cellcom (TA:CEL), which fell 3.78% or 141 points to trade at 3587 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) declined 2.47% or 58 points to end at 2292 and Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL) was down 1.92% or 3.0 points to 153.1.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 236 to 178 and 88 ended unchanged.
Shares in Frutarom (TA:FRUT) rose to all time highs; gaining 4.99% or 1130 to 23760. Shares in Harel (TA:HARL) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.74% or 56 to 2097. Shares in OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) fell to all time lows; down 2.47% or 58 to 2292.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.10% or 0.05 to $51.52 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.15% or 0.08 to hit $54.23 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.26% or 3.28 to trade at $1252.22 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.16% to 3.5874, while EUR/ILS fell 0.15% to 4.0124.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 97.26.
