Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Biomed and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.04%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Discount (TA:DSCT), which rose 2.20% or 18.1 points to trade at 841.6 at the close. Meanwhile, Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT) added 1.87% or 760 points to end at 41400 and Cellcom (TA:CEL) was up 1.43% or 53 points to 3768 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Frutarom (TA:FRUT), which fell 1.69% or 350 points to trade at 20340 at the close. Mizrahi Tefahot (TA:MZTF) declined 1.43% or 89 points to end at 6147 and Amot Investments Ltd (TA:AMOT) was down 1.32% or 23 points to 1717.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 226 to 175 and 41 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.65% or 0.80 to $49.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.59% or 0.82 to hit $52.24 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.30% or 3.75 to trade at $1251.85 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.28% to 3.6265, while EUR/ILS fell 0.30% to 3.8988.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 99.93.
