Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Biomed, Banking and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 fell 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Melisron (TA:MLSR), which rose 4.07% or 560 points to trade at 14330 at the close. Meanwhile, Frutarom (TA:FRUT) added 3.01% or 460 points to end at 15760 and Osem (TA:OSEM) was up 1.91% or 153 points to 8151 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nice (TA:NICE), which fell 2.32% or 600 points to trade at 25210 at the close. Strauss Group (TA:STRS) declined 2.22% or 142 points to end at 6255 and First International Bank of Israel (TA:FTIN) was down 2.17% or 118 points to 5322.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 200 to 141 and 112 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.73% or 0.44 to $60.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.62% or 0.40 to hit $64.27 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 2.13% or 25.10 to trade at $1201.90 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.07% to 3.8198, while EUR/ILS rose 0.63% to 4.3557.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.47% at 94.03.
