Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Communication, Technology and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK), which rose 1.61% or 21 points to trade at 1327 at the close. Meanwhile, Amot Investments Ltd (TASE:AMOT) added 1.15% or 28 points to end at 2473 and Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:PHOE1) was up 0.89% or 34 points to 3866 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Shikun & Binui (TASE:SKBN), which fell 2.97% or 63 points to trade at 2056 at the close. Energix (TASE:ENRG) declined 2.45% or 34 points to end at 1355 and Nice Ltd (TASE:NICE) was down 1.63% or 1460 points to 88040.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 298 to 196 and 33 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.45% or 0.35 to $78.85 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.60% or 0.49 to hit $82.80 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 3.55 to trade at $1787.35 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.61% to 3.1502, while EUR/ILS rose 0.17% to 3.5270.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.38% at 96.865.
