Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Biomed and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 1.69% or 23 points to trade at 1381 at the close. Meanwhile, Airport City Ltd (TA:ARPT) added 1.40% or 60 points to end at 4360 and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) was up 1.25% or 5.1 points to 413.1 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA), which fell 4.34% or 349 points to trade at 7689 at the close. Isramco Negev 2 LP (TA:ISRAp) declined 2.32% or 1.0 points to end at 42.1 and Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL) was down 1.69% or 3.0 points to 174.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 209 to 191 and 22 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.89% or 2.08 to $69.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 2.35% or 1.91 to hit $79.50 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.13% or 1.60 to trade at $1229.40 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.14% to 3.6460, while EUR/ILS fell 0.25% to 4.2037.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 95.09.
