Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Communication, Banking and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.11%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Isramco Negev 2 LP (TA:ISRAp), which rose 1.52% or 0.8 points to trade at 53.4 at the close. Meanwhile, Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) added 1.25% or 260 points to end at 21070 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) was up 1.20% or 115 points to 9695 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cellcom Israel Ltd (TA:CEL), which fell 3.11% or 105 points to trade at 3275 at the close. Frutarom Industries Ltd (TA:FRUT) declined 2.50% or 660 points to end at 25740 and Partner (TA:PTNR) was down 2.49% or 45 points to 1764.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 220 to 175 and 21 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.81% or 0.39 to $48.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.62% or 0.31 to hit $50.51 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.30% or 3.70 to trade at $1248.40 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.20% to 3.5692, while EUR/ILS fell 0.35% to 4.1514.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 94.03.
