Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Biomed, Technology and Communication sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.42%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Discount (TA:DSCT), which rose 2.94% or 23.5 points to trade at 823.5 at the close. Meanwhile, Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) added 1.88% or 380 points to end at 20580 and OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) was up 1.88% or 54 points to 2924 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL), which fell 1.32% or 21 points to trade at 1565 at the close. Poalim (TA:POLI) declined 1.24% or 28 points to end at 2238 and Nice Ltd (TA:NICE) was down 1.19% or 290 points to 24040.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 258 to 138 and 40 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.91% or 0.91 to $48.64 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.93% or 0.98 to hit $51.88 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.09% or 1.15 to trade at $1256.85 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.20% to 3.6074, while EUR/ILS fell 0.20% to 3.9189.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 98.97.
