Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Biomed and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 rose 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT), which rose 2.05% or 640 points to trade at 31800 at the close. Meanwhile, OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) added 1.93% or 95 points to end at 5015 and Nice (TA:NICE) was up 1.77% or 450 points to 25900 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL), which fell 1.59% or 40 points to trade at 2473 at the close. Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) declined 1.57% or 940 points to end at 59000 and Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) was down 1.42% or 1800 points to 125400.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 198 to 130 and 121 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.73% or 0.31 to $42.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.36% or 0.17 to hit $48.56 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.17% or 1.90 to trade at $1116.50 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.56% to 3.8514, while EUR/ILS rose 0.14% to 4.2493.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.17% at 97.00.
