Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Communication and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 gained 0.01% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Perrigo (TA:PRGO), which rose 2.07% or 1100 points to trade at 54200 at the close. Meanwhile, Gazit Globe (TA:GZT) added 2.02% or 66 points to end at 3330 and Osem (TA:OSEM) was up 1.28% or 100 points to 7900 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA), which fell 2.96% or 470 points to trade at 15390 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) declined 1.74% or 30 points to end at 1690 and Frutarom (TA:FRUT) was down 1.18% or 240 points to 20080.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 230 to 116 and 107 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 4.39% or 1.69 to $36.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 3.05% or 1.23 to hit $39.16 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 1.17% or 14.70 to trade at $1244.70 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.28% to 3.8893, while EUR/ILS fell 0.09% to 4.3194.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.35% at 96.56.
