Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Biomed and Communication sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 1.38%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA), which rose 9.08% or 674 points to trade at 8100 at the close. Meanwhile, Airport City Ltd (TA:ARPT) added 3.48% or 151 points to end at 4486 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) was up 2.75% or 59 points to 2205 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gazit Globe Ltd (TA:GZT), which fell 0.80% or 25 points to trade at 3087 at the close. Alony Hetz Properties and Investments Ltd (TA:ALHE) declined 0.65% or 23 points to end at 3517 and Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA) was down 0.60% or 320.0 points to 53060.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 225 to 141 and 22 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.44% or 0.29 to $65.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.03% or 0.78 to hit $74.69 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.80% or 21.80 to trade at $1234.10 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.49% to 3.6999, while EUR/ILS rose 0.37% to 4.2207.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.79% at 96.14.
