Israel stocks higher at close of trade; TA 35 up 1.25%

Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Biomed, Technology and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 1.25%.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Liveperson (TASE:LPSN), which rose 6.31% or 1280 points to trade at 21550 at the close. Meanwhile, Sapiens International Corporation NV (TASE:SPNS) added 3.94% or 359 points to end at 9460 and Energix (TASE:ENRG) was up 3.80% or 50 points to 1365 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Maytronics (TASE:MTRN), which fell 1.27% or 61 points to trade at 4724 at the close. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) declined 1.05% or 33 points to end at 3120 and Perrigo (TASE:PRGO) was down 0.70% or 100 points to 14270.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 324 to 86 and 20 ended unchanged.

Shares in Liveperson (TASE:LPSN) rose to all time highs; up 6.31% or 1280 to 21550. Shares in Perrigo (TASE:PRGO) fell to 52-week lows; losing 0.70% or 100 to 14270.

Crude oil for February delivery was down 1.25% or 0.60 to $47.37 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 1.06% or 0.54 to hit $50.37 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.61% or 11.50 to trade at $1871.30 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was down 0.52% to 3.2301, while EUR/ILS fell 1.02% to 3.9343.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.60% at 90.493.
