Israel stocks higher at close of trade; TA 35 up 1.21%

Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Insurance and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 1.21% to hit a new 6-months high.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which rose 9.29% or 220 points to trade at 2588 at the close. Meanwhile, Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) added 4.66% or 345 points to end at 7745 and Delek Drilling LP (TASE:DEDRp) was up 2.39% or 21 points to 901 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Leumi (TASE:LUMI), which fell 0.52% or 13 points to trade at 2497 at the close. Nice Ltd (TASE:NICE) declined 0.39% or 210 points to end at 54130 and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ) was down 0.39% or 0.9 points to 229.3.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 239 to 134 and 33 ended unchanged.

Shares in Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) rose to 52-week highs; up 4.66% or 345 to 7745.

Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.51% or 0.80 to $53.61 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.45% or 0.85 to hit $59.59 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.66% or 9.85 to trade at $1493.35 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 0.35% to 3.5307, while EUR/ILS rose 0.81% to 3.9129.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.37% at 97.637.
