Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Real Estate and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.69% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Perrigo (TASE:PRGO), which rose 4.31% or 520 points to trade at 12580 at the close. Meanwhile, Big Shopping Centers Ltd (TASE:BIG) added 2.97% or 1500 points to end at 51990 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) was up 2.83% or 350 points to 12720 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Liveperson (TASE:LPSN), which fell 3.10% or 330 points to trade at 10300 at the close. Nova (TASE:NVMI) declined 1.98% or 900 points to end at 44480 and OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) was down 1.54% or 23 points to 1471.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 303 to 195 and 30 ended unchanged.
Shares in Liveperson (TASE:LPSN) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.10% or 330 to 10300. Shares in Big Shopping Centers Ltd (TASE:BIG) rose to all time highs; rising 2.97% or 1500 to 51990. Shares in Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) rose to 5-year highs; rising 2.83% or 350 to 12720.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.81% or 1.39 to $78.38 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.61% or 1.29 to hit $81.29 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.57% or 10.35 to trade at $1824.95 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.33% to 3.0945, while EUR/ILS rose 0.78% to 3.5079.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 95.912.
