Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Insurance, Financials and Biomed sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.18% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA), which rose 3.29% or 780.0 points to trade at 24500.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) added 2.71% or 138 points to end at 5231 and Azrieli Group Ltd (TA:AZRG) was up 1.63% or 300 points to 18670 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Airport City Ltd (TA:ARPT), which fell 4.25% or 189 points to trade at 4261 at the close. Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) declined 4.20% or 520 points to end at 11850 and Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL) was down 3.04% or 5.5 points to 175.6.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 203 to 184 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA) rose to all time highs; gaining 3.29% or 780.0 to 24500.0.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.29% or 0.17 to $58.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.22% or 0.14 to hit $63.38 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.82% or 10.61 to trade at $1284.29 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.07% to 3.5089, while EUR/ILS rose 0.00% to 4.1581.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 93.18.
