Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Sunday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Biomed and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.05% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Liveperson (TA:LPSN), which rose 2.85% or 243 points to trade at 8765 at the close. Meanwhile, Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) added 2.78% or 31 points to end at 1147 and Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL) was up 1.53% or 2.7 points to 179.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which fell 3.60% or 49 points to trade at 1313 at the close. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) declined 1.91% or 139 points to end at 7143 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) was down 1.62% or 88 points to 5335.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 224 to 163 and 38 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 2.88% or 1.55 to $55.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 3.29% or 2.00 to hit $62.84 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.23% or 3.10 to trade at $1322.10 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.04% to 3.6375, while EUR/ILS rose 0.06% to 4.1673.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 95.333.
