Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Sunday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Communication and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which rose 3.38% or 2390 points to trade at 73100 at the close. Meanwhile, Strauss Group (TA:STRS) added 3.13% or 208 points to end at 6858 and Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) was up 2.30% or 30 points to 1333 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA), which fell 3.55% or 680.0 points to trade at 18500.0 at the close. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) declined 1.70% or 190 points to end at 10970 and Big Shopping Centers Ltd (TA:BIG) was down 1.45% or 370 points to 25180.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 254 to 129 and 116 ended unchanged.
Shares in Strauss Group (TA:STRS) rose to 52-week highs; up 3.13% or 208 to 6858.
Crude oil for August delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $44.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.81% or 0.38 to hit $47.30 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.09% or 1.19 to trade at $1255.79 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.59% to 3.5240, while EUR/ILS rose 0.37% to 3.9414.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 96.87.
