Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Miscellaneous Industry, Basic Industry and Manufacturing sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index lost 1.63% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Eagle High Plantations Tbk (JK:BWPT), which rose 18.92% or 21 points to trade at 132 at the close. Meanwhile, Surya Esa Perkasa Tbk (JK:ESSA) added 12.50% or 200 points to end at 1800 and Sejahteraraya Anugrahjaya Tbk (JK:SRAJ) was up 10.56% or 19 points to 199 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saratoga Investama Sedaya (JK:SRTG), which fell 10.00% or 470 points to trade at 4230 at the close. Rimau Multi Putra Pratama (JK:CMPP) declined 9.84% or 12 points to end at 122 and Express Transindo Utama Tbk (JK:TAXI) was down 9.76% or 12 points to 111.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 216 to 84 and 39 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.86% or 0.32 to $36.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.08% or 0.43 to hit $39.30 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.40% or 4.30 to trade at $1067.70 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 1.11% to 14129.5, while AUD/IDR fell 0.69% to 10076.10.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.07% at 97.98.
