Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Infrastructure, Trade and Agriculture sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index lost 0.57%.
The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Benakat Integra Tbk (JK:BIPI), which rose 33.33% or 18 points to trade at 72 at the close. Meanwhile, Asuransi Ramayana Tbk (JK:ASRM) added 24.17% or 580 points to end at 2980 and Mitra Komunikasi Nusantara Tbk PT (JK:MKNT) was up 23.32% or 104 points to 550 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bumi Citra Permai Tbk (JK:BCIP), which fell 10.00% or 17 points to trade at 153 at the close. Capitol Nusantara Indonesia (JK:CANI) declined 10.00% or 160 points to end at 1440 and Mulia Industrindo Tbk (JK:MLIA) was down 9.85% or 65 points to 595.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 207 to 106 and 98 ended unchanged.
Shares in Bumi Citra Permai Tbk (JK:BCIP) fell to all time lows; falling 10.00% or 17 to 153.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.26% or 0.14 to $53.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.55% or 0.30 to hit $55.22 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.70% or 8.05 to trade at $1134.65 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.52% to 13447.0, while AUD/IDR rose 0.26% to 9721.40.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.27% at 103.35.
