Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Industry, Agriculture and Manufacturing sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index lost 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Victoria Investama Tbk (JK:VICO), which rose 34.83% or 31 points to trade at 120 at the close. Meanwhile, Star Petrcohem Tbk (JK:STAR) added 33.93% or 19 points to end at 75 and Enseval Putra Megatrading Tbk (JK:EPMT) was up 24.89% or 560 points to 2810 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tunas Alfin Tbk (JK:TALF), which fell 24.29% or 102 points to trade at 318 at the close. Fortune Indonesia Tbk (JK:FORU) declined 8.26% or 18 points to end at 200 and Intermedia Capital Tbk (JK:MDIA) was down 7.32% or 150 points to 1900.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 201 to 128 and 95 ended unchanged.
Shares in Star Petrcohem Tbk (JK:STAR) rose to 52-week highs; rising 33.93% or 19 to 75.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 1.49% or 0.72 to $47.52 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.55% or 0.79 to hit $50.17 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.09% or 1.15 to trade at $1245.35 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was down 0.00% to 13326.5, while AUD/IDR fell 0.26% to 10220.50.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 99.66.
