Stock market today: S&P 500 slumps as Trump tariff blitz triggers bloodbath
Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Infrastructure and Agriculture sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index added 1.70%.
The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Sinar Terang Mandiri PT Tbk (JK:MINE), which rose 25.00% or 84.00 points to trade at 420.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Reliance Securities Tbk (JK:RELI) added 24.43% or 108.00 points to end at 550.00 and Dana Brata Luhur PT (JK:TEBE) was up 24.37% or 145.00 points to 740.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Homeco Victoria Makmur PT Tbk (JK:LIVE), which fell 25.00% or 66.00 points to trade at 198.00 at the close. Remala Abadi Tbk PT (JK:DATA) declined 24.91% or 365.00 points to end at 1,100.00 and Sanurhasta Mitra PT (JK:MINA) was down 24.80% or 63.00 points to 191.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 344 to 285 and 212 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sinar Terang Mandiri PT Tbk (JK:MINE) rose to all time highs; gaining 25.00% or 84.00 to 420.00.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.72% or 0.48 to $66.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.62% or 0.43 to hit $69.99 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.11% or 3.20 to trade at $2,924.10 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.34% to 16,433.40, while AUD/IDR fell 0.12% to 10,347.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 103.53.
