Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Retail and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite declined 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Euro Reliance (AT:EREr), which rose 2.90% or 0.060 points to trade at 2.130 at the close. Meanwhile, Intralot (AT:INLr) added 1.82% or 0.020 points to end at 1.120 and Aegean Airlines (AT:AGNr) was up 1.55% or 0.10 points to 6.54 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which fell 9.82% or 0.016 points to trade at 0.147 at the close. Centric Hold (AT:DESr) declined 6.73% or 0.007 points to end at 0.097 and Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) was down 5.20% or 0.0090 points to 0.1640.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 63 to 36 and 19 ended unchanged.
Shares in Euro Reliance (AT:EREr) rose to 5-year highs; up 2.90% or 0.060 to 2.130.
Gold for February delivery was down 0.92% or 11.15 to $1200.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.80% or 0.41 to hit $51.49 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.67% or 0.36 to trade at $54.28 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.03% to 1.0627, while EUR/GBP fell 0.53% to 0.8625.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.10% at 101.41.
