Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Healthcare and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 3.98% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr), which rose 4.03% or 0.1800 points to trade at 4.6500 at the close. Meanwhile, Autohellas (AT:AUTr) added 2.40% or 0.55 points to end at 23.50 and Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) was up 2.16% or 0.170 points to 8.040 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr), which fell 15.79% or 0.480 points to trade at 2.560 at the close. Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) declined 15.48% or 0.124 points to end at 0.677 and Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr) was down 13.24% or 0.009 points to 0.059.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 89 to 22 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) fell to 52-week lows; down 15.79% or 0.480 to 2.560. Shares in Autohellas (AT:AUTr) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 2.40% or 0.55 to 23.50.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.76% or 9.84 to $1307.34 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.05% or 1.04 to hit $51.70 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 2.38% or 1.34 to trade at $57.76 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.79% to 1.1863, while EUR/GBP fell 0.63% to 0.8792.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 92.34.
