Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Banking, Construction and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.38%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which rose 8.89% or 0.016 points to trade at 0.198 at the close. Meanwhile, J. & P. Avax (AT:AVAr) added 5.17% or 0.031 points to end at 0.631 and Fourlis Hld (AT:FRLr) was up 4.29% or 0.230 points to 5.590 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Centric Hold (AT:DESr), which fell 5.88% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.160 at the close. Iaso (AT:IASr) declined 5.35% or 0.046 points to end at 0.814 and Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) was down 4.21% or 0.032 points to 0.728.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 57 to 40 and 12 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.27% or 3.50 to $1282.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.19% or 0.10 to hit $51.78 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.05% or 0.03 to trade at $57.91 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.05% to 1.1772, while EUR/GBP rose 0.15% to 0.8934.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 93.44.
