Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Construction, Travel and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.37% to hit a new 5-year high.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Bank of Cyprus Holdings PLC (AT:BOCHGRr), which rose 4.18% or 0.26 points to trade at 6.48 at the close. Meanwhile, Athens International Airport SA (AT:AIAr) added 3.17% or 0.30 points to end at 9.75 and Interlife General Insurance Company SA (AT:INLIFr) was up 2.38% or 0.12 points to 5.16 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Dimand Societe Anonyme for Real Estate Constructions (AT:DIMANDr), which fell 4.20% or 0.36 points to trade at 8.22 at the close. Lavipharm SA (AT:LPHr) declined 2.10% or 0.02 points to end at 0.79 and Intralot (AT:INLr) was down 1.85% or 0.02 points to 1.06.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 66 to 65 and 11 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for June delivery was up 1.59% or 50.61 to $3,237.91 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.13% or 0.08 to hit $61.89 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.18% or 0.12 to trade at $65.29 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.82% to 1.13, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.13% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.81% at 100.13.
