Trump tariff impact may be seen in Q2 earnings, Capital Economics says
Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Construction, Travel and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Aktor Symmetochon Technikon kai Energoiakon Ergon AE (AT:AKTRr), which rose 4.55% or 0.24 points to trade at 5.52 at the close. Meanwhile, Ekter (AT:EKTr) added 3.43% or 0.07 points to end at 2.11 and Elvalhalcor Hellenic Copper and Aluminium Industry SA (AT:ELHA) was up 2.40% or 0.06 points to 2.35 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Autohellas (AT:AUTr), which fell 6.92% or 0.80 points to trade at 10.76 at the close. Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) declined 5.33% or 0.31 points to end at 5.51 and National Bank of Greece SA (AT:NBGr) was down 2.76% or 0.29 points to 10.20.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 73 to 48 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Aktor Symmetochon Technikon kai Energoiakon Ergon AE (AT:AKTRr) rose to 52-week highs; up 4.55% or 0.24 to 5.52.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.72% or 24.58 to $3,372.62 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 2.06% or 1.29 to hit $63.81 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 1.75% or 1.13 to trade at $65.76 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.49% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.40% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.44% at 99.07.
