Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Friday, as gains in the Food & Beverages, Software and Technology sectors led shares higher while losses in the Construction, Retail and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX rose 0.55%, while the MDAX index declined 0.05%, and the TecDAX index gained 0.60%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Porsche Automobil Holding SE (ETR:PSHG_p), which rose 2.59% or 0.91 points to trade at 36.09 at the close. Meanwhile, Brenntag AG (ETR:BNRGn) added 2.26% or 1.30 points to end at 58.70 and Bayer AG NA (ETR:BAYGN) was up 2.08% or 0.39 points to 19.28 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Siemens Energy AG (ETR:ENR1n), which fell 2.03% or 1.04 points to trade at 50.08 at the close. Munich Reinsurance (ETR:MUVGn) declined 0.78% or 3.90 points to end at 493.00 and Hannover Rueck SE (ETR:HNRGn) was down 0.33% or 0.80 points to 243.90.
The top performers on the MDAX were Bechtle AG (ETR:BC8G) which rose 2.84% to 31.88, Siltronic AG (ETR:WAFGn) which was up 2.62% to settle at 47.02 and Jungheinrich AG O.N.VZO (ETR:JUNG_p) which gained 2.09% to close at 25.46.
The worst performers were Delivery Hero AG (ETR:DHER) which was down 5.39% to 27.04 in late trade, Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:NDXG) which lost 3.33% to settle at 11.31 and Tui AG NA (ETR:TUI1n) which was down 2.04% to 8.36 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were 11 AG (ETR:1U1) which rose 4.89% to 12.02, Elmos Semiconductor AG (ETR:ELGG) which was up 3.60% to settle at 69.00 and Bechtle AG (ETR:BC8G) which gained 2.84% to close at 31.88.
The worst performers were Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:NDXG) which was down 3.33% to 11.31 in late trade, Nexus AG (ETR:NXUG) which lost 1.15% to settle at 68.70 and Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which was down 0.46% to 15.25 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 420 to 218 and 39 ended unchanged.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 0.98% to 15.69.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.91% or 24.10 to $2,629.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.79% or 0.55 to hit $70.17 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.73% or 0.53 to trade at $73.38 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.05% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.29% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 107.89.
