Investing.com’s stocks of the week
Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology, Food & Beverages and Media sectors led shares higher while losses in the Construction, Software and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX lost 0.54%, while the MDAX index added 0.01%, and the TecDAX index fell 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:IFXGn), which rose 1.43% or 0.51 points to trade at 36.42 at the close. Meanwhile, BASF SE NA O.N. (ETR:BASFN) added 1.08% or 0.45 points to end at 42.30 and Adidas AG (ETR:ADSGN) was up 0.99% or 2.10 points to 213.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Siemens Energy AG (ETR:ENR1n), which fell 2.86% or 2.54 points to trade at 86.14 at the close. SAP SE (ETR:SAPG) declined 1.74% or 4.75 points to end at 267.60 and Beiersdorf AG O.N. (ETR:BEIG) was down 1.34% or 1.60 points to 118.15.
The top performers on the MDAX were Puma SE (ETR:PUMG) which rose 4.48% to 22.63, Lanxess AG (ETR:LXSG) which was up 3.42% to settle at 26.62 and Wacker Chemie O.N. (ETR:WCHG) which gained 2.82% to close at 63.85.
The worst performers were Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which was down 2.52% to 96.60 in late trade, RENK Group AG (ETR:R3NK) which lost 1.60% to settle at 77.34 and Aurubis AG (ETR:NAFG) which was down 1.60% to 80.15 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Formycon AG (ETR:FYB) which rose 4.56% to 28.65, Elmos Semiconductor AG (ETR:ELGG) which was up 3.92% to settle at 76.90 and SUSS MicroTec SE (ETR:SMHNn) which gained 3.52% to close at 40.60.
The worst performers were Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which was down 2.52% to 96.60 in late trade, SAP SE (ETR:SAPG) which lost 1.74% to settle at 267.60 and Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:NDXG) which was down 1.51% to 17.66 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 316 to 273 and 56 ended unchanged.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 1.81% to 18.82.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.11% or 3.62 to $3,350.22 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.31% or 0.20 to hit $64.78 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.29% or 0.19 to trade at $66.66 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.20% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 98.93.
