Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Friday, as gains in the Food & Beverages, Software and Media sectors led shares higher while losses in the Construction, Retail and Transportation & Logistics sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX lost 0.09% to hit a new 1-month low, while the MDAX index lost 0.15%, and the TecDAX index gained 0.55%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:SHLG), which rose 3.78% or 1.73 points to trade at 47.47 at the close. Meanwhile, Volkswagen AG VZO O.N. (ETR:VOWG_p) added 2.56% or 2.86 points to end at 114.48 and Allianz SE VNA O.N. (ETR:ALVG) was up 0.96% or 2.20 points to 232.15 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:CBKG), which fell 3.44% or 0.34 points to trade at 9.66 at the close. Brenntag AG (ETR:BNRGn) declined 2.21% or 1.68 points to end at 74.40 and Zalando SE (ETR:ZALG) was down 1.37% or 0.32 points to 23.02.
The top performers on the MDAX were Befesa SA (ETR:BFSA) which rose 3.02% to 28.68, Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:RDC) which was up 2.64% to settle at 98.74 and Stabilus (ETR:STM1) which gained 2.34% to close at 52.40.
The worst performers were Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which was down 3.71% to 28.56 in late trade, Delivery Hero AG (ETR:DHER) which lost 3.51% to settle at 30.20 and Hochtief AG (ETR:HOTG) which was down 3.04% to 95.55 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:SHLG) which rose 3.78% to 47.47, Cancom SE O.N. (ETR:COKG) which was up 3.66% to settle at 25.50 and Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:NDXG) which gained 2.27% to close at 11.69.
The worst performers were Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which was down 3.71% to 28.56 in late trade, Freenet AG NA (ETR:FNTGn) which lost 1.06% to settle at 22.42 and Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:MORG) which was down 0.91% to 28.26 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 362 to 256 and 115 ended unchanged.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 0.76% to 15.91.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.30% or 5.85 to $1,945.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.54% or 0.48 to hit $90.11 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.13% or 0.12 to trade at $93.42 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.01% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.31% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 105.16.
