Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Retail, Utilities and Software sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX lost 2.26% to hit a new 1-month low, while the MDAX index fell 2.10%, and the TecDAX index fell 2.55%.

The best performers of the session on the DAX were Porsche Automobil Holding SE (ETR:PSHG_p), which rose 0.42% or 0.28 points to trade at 67.18 at the close. Meanwhile, Daimler Truck Holding AG (ETR:DTGGe) fell 0.47% or 0.12 points to end at 25.34 and Volkswagen AG VZO O.N. (ETR:VOWG_p) was down 0.66% or 0.94 points to 140.94 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were HelloFresh SE (ETR:HFGG), which fell 7.21% or 1.91 points to trade at 24.58 at the close. RWE AG ST O.N. (ETR:RWEG) declined 6.24% or 2.73 points to end at 40.99 and Vonovia SE (ETR:VNAn) was down 5.72% or 1.61 points to 26.56.

The top performers on the MDAX were Rheinmetall AG (ETR:RHMG) which rose 1.37% to 166.85, K&S AG (ETR:SDFGn) which was up 0.55% to settle at 23.88 and Siemens Energy AG (ETR:ENR1n) which lost 0.42% to close at 15.35.

The worst performers were Delivery Hero AG (ETR:DHER) which was down 7.26% to 42.41 in late trade, Bechtle AG (ETR:BC8G) which lost 5.46% to settle at 39.82 and Uniper SE (ETR:UN01) which was down 4.99% to 5.42 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which fell 0.44% to 22.75, 11 AG (ETR:1U1) which was down 0.55% to settle at 16.16 and Software AG (ETR:SOWGn) which lost 0.83% to close at 26.28.

The worst performers were Bechtle AG (ETR:BC8G) which was down 5.46% to 39.82 in late trade, Nagarro SE (ETR:NA9n) which lost 4.82% to settle at 110.60 and Cancom SE O.N. (ETR:COKG) which was down 4.31% to 28.86 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 566 to 113 and 67 ended unchanged.

Shares in HelloFresh SE (ETR:HFGG) fell to 52-week lows; falling 7.21% or 1.91 to 24.58. Shares in Vonovia SE (ETR:VNAn) fell to 5-year lows; losing 5.72% or 1.61 to 26.56. Shares in Uniper SE (ETR:UN01) fell to all time lows; losing 4.99% or 0.29 to 5.42. Shares in 11 AG (ETR:1U1) fell to 52-week lows; down 0.55% or 0.09 to 16.16. Shares in Cancom SE O.N. (ETR:COKG) fell to 3-years lows; down 4.31% or 1.30 to 28.86.

The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 6.63% to 27.82.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.32% or 23.35 to $1,748.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.39% or 0.36 to hit $92.16 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.01% or 0.01 to trade at $99.35 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 1.00, while EUR/GBP rose 0.68% to 0.85.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 108.71.
