Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Construction, Financial Services and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX fell 1.03%, while the MDAX index fell 0.88%, and the TecDAX index lost 1.06%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Porsche Automobil Holding SE (ETR:PSHG_p), which rose 3.87% or 2.68 points to trade at 71.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Beiersdorf AG O.N. (ETR:BEIG) added 0.83% or 0.85 points to end at 102.65 and Symrise AG Inh. O.N. (ETR:SY1G) was up 0.73% or 0.72 points to 100.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Heidelbergcement AG O.N. (ETR:HEIG), which fell 4.57% or 2.08 points to trade at 43.40 at the close. E.ON SE (ETR:EONGn) declined 3.47% or 0.30 points to end at 8.24 and Puma SE (ETR:PUMG) was down 3.47% or 2.00 points to 55.68.
The top performers on the MDAX were Jungheinrich AG O.N.VZO (ETR:JUNG_p) which rose 4.38% to 21.46, Sixt SE (ETR:SIXG) which was up 3.16% to settle at 93.15 and Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which gained 2.20% to close at 24.60.
The worst performers were Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:TEGG) which was down 5.53% to 8.29 in late trade, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:EVTG) which lost 4.57% to settle at 18.80 and LEG Immobilien AG (ETR:LEGn) which was down 4.35% to 63.84 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which rose 2.20% to 24.60, ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:QH9) which was up 1.65% to settle at 18.50 and Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which gained 0.30% to close at 19.88.
The worst performers were Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:EVTG) which was down 4.57% to 18.80 in late trade, Vantage Towers AG (ETR:VTWRn) which lost 4.16% to settle at 26.24 and Varta AG (ETR:VAR1) which was down 3.91% to 59.94 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 469 to 210 and 79 ended unchanged.

Shares in Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:TEGG) fell to 5-year lows; down 5.53% or 0.49 to 8.29. Shares in Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:EVTG) fell to 52-week lows; falling 4.57% or 0.90 to 18.80. Shares in LEG Immobilien AG (ETR:LEGn) fell to 5-year lows; falling 4.35% or 2.90 to 63.84. Shares in Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:EVTG) fell to 52-week lows; losing 4.57% or 0.90 to 18.80. Shares in Varta AG (ETR:VAR1) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.91% or 2.44 to 59.94.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 3.49% to 27.88.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.25% or 4.20 to $1,674.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.01% or 1.72 to hit $83.64 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.82% or 1.67 to trade at $90.33 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.47% to 1.00, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.88.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 109.87.
