Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Construction, Transportation & Logistics and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX lost 0.47%, while the MDAX index declined 0.86%, and the TecDAX index lost 0.42%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:DTEGn), which rose 1.26% or 0.42 points to trade at 33.76 at the close. Meanwhile, Munich Reinsurance (ETR:MUVGn) added 0.80% or 4.60 points to end at 580.20 and Siemens Energy AG (ETR:ENR1n) was up 0.78% or 0.48 points to 61.82 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Zalando SE (ETR:ZALG), which fell 3.40% or 1.09 points to trade at 31.01 at the close. Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:IFXGn) declined 2.81% or 0.96 points to end at 33.25 and Beiersdorf AG O.N. (ETR:BEIG) was down 2.79% or 3.65 points to 127.20.
The top performers on the MDAX were Delivery Hero AG (ETR:DHER) which rose 6.54% to 24.11, RTL Group SA (ETR:RRTL) which was up 2.03% to settle at 35.25 and Lanxess AG (ETR:LXSG) which gained 1.50% to close at 29.72.
The worst performers were Fuchs Se Pref (ETR:FPE3_p) which was down 6.93% to 45.96 in late trade, HelloFresh SE (ETR:HFGG) which lost 6.40% to settle at 7.72 and Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (ETR:BOSSn) which was down 3.95% to 36.50 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were SUSS MicroTec SE (ETR:SMHNn) which rose 5.02% to 41.85, PNE Wind AG (ETR:PNEGn) which was up 1.55% to settle at 14.40 and Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:DTEGn) which gained 1.26% to close at 33.76.
The worst performers were Nagarro SE (ETR:NA9n) which was down 4.79% to 75.45 in late trade, Bechtle AG (ETR:BC8G) which lost 3.53% to settle at 37.68 and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:IFXGn) which was down 2.81% to 33.25 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 390 to 216 and 27 ended unchanged.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 2.83% to 22.81 a new 6-months high.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.72% or 22.00 to $3,021.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.34% or 0.23 to hit $68.30 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.21% or 0.15 to trade at $72.15 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.29% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 103.79.
